IILM University marked a proud and historic occasion with the conferral of the IILM Distinguished Global Thinker Award 2025 upon Professor Ranjay Gulati, a globally renowned scholar in leadership and organisational behaviour, and a distinguished faculty member at Harvard Business School. Professor Gulati’s pioneering work has significantly influenced how leaders around the world understand the interplay between purpose, performance, and people. It was an honour for the institution to host such an esteemed thought leader on campus.
We were equally privileged to welcome Justice Hima Kohli, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India, as the Chief Guest for the ceremony. A distinguished figure in the Indian judiciary, Justice Kohli is celebrated for her progressive judgements and unwavering dedication to justice and equality. Her esteemed presence lent profound significance and grace to the event.
Key highlights of the day included:
- Opening Remarks by Dr Harivansh Chaturvedi, Director General, IILM Lodhi Road, who reflected on the institution’s commitment to engaging with global thought leaders and fostering intellectual excellence.
- Award Presentation, where Justice Hima Kohli formally conferred the IILM Distinguished Global Thinker Award to Professor Gulati, commending his transformative contributions to contemporary leadership discourse.
- Keynote Address by Professor Gulati, titled “Deep Purpose: The Heart and Soul of High-Performance Organisations”, in which he articulated the value of purpose-led organisations and their ability to achieve enduring success and meaning.
- Interactive Session with faculty and attendees, during which Professor Gulati shared personal insights and engaged in an enriching exchange of ideas, marked by warmth and sincerity.
This distinguished occasion stands as a milestone in IILM’s journey—a celebration of purpose, leadership, and intellectual excellence. The university reaffirms its commitment to fostering platforms that bring together visionary thinkers and inspire the academic community.
